Every program in our Works suite is designed to attack the job crisis from a different angle — so no working person gets left behind.
Every day, profitable blue-collar businesses close — not because they failed, but because the owner is retiring and there's no buyer, no plan, and no one fighting to save the jobs inside. WorksAcquire steps in before that happens.
We identify businesses on the verge of closure in the skilled trades, manufacturing, and service sectors, then work to find strategic buyers, management buyout options, or worker-ownership models that keep operations running and workers employed. In cases where acquisition is the right solution, GlobalWorx Foundation facilitates the process directly.
Who this helps: Workers whose jobs are at risk due to business closure, retirement, or ownership transition. Small business owners who want to retire or exit but don't want to leave their employees stranded.
America lost its manufacturing base. WorksManufacture is building it back — one facility at a time. We identify and secure federal and state manufacturing grants, then deploy those funds to launch or expand domestic manufacturing operations that create good-paying jobs.
From small machining shops to larger production facilities, WorksManufacture bridges the gap between available funding and the entrepreneurs, workers, and communities that need it. We handle the grant research, application, compliance, and partnership development so that capital flows to where it creates the most jobs.
Funding Sources: CHIPS Act, Manufacturing USA, EDA grants, SBA programs, state economic development funds, and private capital partnerships.
WorksAcademy delivers hands-on vocational training in the skilled trades — the careers that have always been in demand, are impossible to offshore, and impossible to automate. We're talking welding, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, heavy equipment operation, and more.
Our curriculum is built in partnership with employers, so graduates walk out with credentials that employers actually recognize and actively recruit. We don't just train — we place. Every WorksAcademy cohort includes a job-placement component that connects graduates directly to employers through WorksBridge.
Programs include: Welding Certification, Electrical Apprenticeship Prep, Plumbing & HVAC, Construction Management, Commercial Driver Training, and Specialized Manufacturing Skills.
WorksBridge is our global job-matching platform and employer network, connecting skilled workers — tradespeople, manufacturing workers, technicians — to employers who are desperate to hire them. Domestically and internationally.
We build relationships with employers in growth sectors who can't find qualified workers, then source directly from our training programs, veteran networks, displaced worker pools, and referral partners. The result: workers get placed faster, and employers stop losing projects because they can't staff them.
Our network spans: Construction, Manufacturing, Energy, Infrastructure, Marine, Agriculture, and skilled trade sectors across the US, Canada, Australia, Europe, and growing.
Banks say no to small businesses every day — not because the businesses aren't viable, but because they're too small, too new, or owned by people who don't fit the traditional lending profile. WorksFund exists to change that.
We provide micro-loans of $500 to $25,000 to small blue-collar business owners — the plumber who needs a new van, the contractor who needs equipment, the shop owner who needs working capital to take on a big contract. These are loans that transform businesses and create jobs at the local level.
Every WorksFund loan comes with financial coaching, business development support, and connections to our professional network — because money alone isn't enough.
Women are the fastest-growing segment of the skilled trade workforce — and one of the most underserved. WorksWomen is built specifically for women who want to enter, advance, or restart a career in the trades, and we're building the support system that makes it possible.
We provide trade training scholarships, connect women with female mentors already working in the field, and partner with employers committed to building inclusive job sites. We also help women navigate the specific challenges they face — from childcare access to workplace safety to equal pay advocacy.
Focus areas: Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Manufacturing, Welding, and Facilities Management. Women from all backgrounds welcome.
Veterans already have what employers can't teach: discipline, reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure. WorksVet takes those qualities and pairs them with the civilian credentials and job connections veterans need to succeed in the skilled trades.
We work with veterans to map their military experience to civilian trade certifications, fast-track them through WorksAcademy training where needed, and connect them directly with veteran-friendly employers through WorksBridge. We also provide post-placement support to ensure long-term success.
Eligible veterans: All branches. Active separation, recently separated, and long-term veterans who have struggled with the civilian transition are all welcome.
When a factory closes, when a plant automates, when a company downsizes and the jobs never come back — those workers don't just lose income. They lose identity. WorksForward is about giving them a path forward that honors the experience they bring.
We specialize in workers over 50 and those displaced by automation or industry shutdowns — groups that traditional workforce programs often overlook or underserve. We meet people where they are, assess their existing skills, and build retraining pathways that are realistic, fast, and connected to employers who are hiring.
We focus on: Short-duration programs (3–12 months), trade crossover training, employer partnerships with age-inclusive hiring commitments, and financial support during retraining.
A small business in crisis — crushing debt, a lawsuit, a cash flow collapse, a regulatory nightmare — doesn't have the resources to navigate it. The owner is too busy trying to keep the doors open. WorksRecover steps in with the professional help they need.
We connect distressed small business owners with attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, and turnaround specialists who understand small business and can actually help. We also provide direct navigation support — helping owners understand their options, access emergency programs, and avoid the predatory advisors who prey on businesses in trouble.
We help with: Debt restructuring, IRS issues, contractor disputes, cash flow emergencies, regulatory compliance, and business turnaround planning.
